The Ode of Christmas
By Terry Liu
Here comes the December,
full of warmth and pleasure.
It’s the best time of the year
and hard to be alone.
When everyone from afar comes home,
It’s time to celebrate.
The rooms have been decorated,
and the Christmas tree is ready to be put up.
Colorful lights in the tree are twinkling with delight,
as if it brings us new hope for the future.
No one will be sleeping on the night of Christmas Eve,
waiting for the Holy Day to come.
Children hope Santa will come to town,
with his reindeer and sleigh,
and brings them gifts they’ve desirous for.
Without sadness and bitterness,
everyone enjoys the moment.
